City of Burlington and its transit workers
reach tentative agreement



Tonight, Tuesday, June 30, the City of Burlington reached a tentative agreement Canadian Union of Public Employees’ (CUPE) Local 2723, representing Burlington Transit workers.

CUPE 2723 will hold a ratification meeting this Sunday, July 5. If the union members fail to ratify the agreement, the union has promised the city 72 hours notice before it calls a strike.

Transit service continues as usual tomorrow, Canada Day, Wednesday, July 1.
