PRESTO interrupting on-line services,
July 31 until early August 1

Update — Friday, *July 31, 2:31 p.m.: PRESTO has confirmed that services are off-line from 11:59 p.m. July 31 until 6 a.m. August 1.

Note: PRESTO has not confirmed the time when it’s shutting down on-line services Friday and the time when it’s restoring services Saturday. We will update this post as we learn more.

Later this week, PRESTO is upgrading its system to enable a pilot project that will allow passengers to use the fare cards when boarding paratransit vehicles.

PRESTO will temporarily interrupt on-line services overnight from Friday, July 31 to Saturday, August 1. During this time:

  • You can still travel using your PRESTO card;
  • You can tap and pay for your trips;
  • You can load funds on your card or buy a new card at a PRESTO Customer Service Outlet; and
  • Autoloads will continue to process as normally.

But, you can’t activate new cards. Make sure you have enough funds to travel July 31 to August 1 by performing any necessary on-line transactions on the PRESTO website by Thursday, July 31.

PRESTO says it will restore all of its on-line services the morning of Saturday, August 1. However, you may notice a delay in updating your on-line transaction history.
