The ParaPan Am Games start in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area from Friday, August 7 until Saturday, August 15.
Games organizers are encouraging everyone to take public transit to and from the various events. Transit is free of fare if you hold a valid ParaPan Am ticket on the day of a particular event or competition. On the day of your sport event you’re planning to attend, just show a printed copy of your ticket to the drivers aboard these transit systems:
- Brampton Transit;
- Burlington Transit;
- Burlington Transit Handi-Van;

The TTC is operating subway service earlier than usually Sundays during the games. Sunday, August 9, the subway opens by 6 a.m., just as it does every other day of the week.
YRT Mobility Plus is operating the Call One call centre for specialized transit services during the games.
Call One Call Centre staff book advance requests for Games spectators who are current paratransit clients and require accessible transit to games venues across the Greater Toronto Area. The Call One Call Centre is open daily 6 a.m. until midnight during the games. Staff accept bookings as much as one week before the requested travel date.
They’ll also make sure passengers use accessible conventional transit services as much as possible, particularly for cross-boundary parts of trips. They’ll co-ordinate these cross-boundary trips with GO Transit to make sure passengers arrive at their venue promptly. Contact the Pan Am/Parapan Am Call One Call Centre at 1-844-PARA-ONE (727-2663) TTY 1-877-244-5002.
Since the games take place at multiple venues throughout Toronto and the Greater Golden Horseshoe area, we’ll be detailing Pan Am Games transit — including extra service and route diversions — region by region in a series of posts this week:
