Eglinton Crosstown LRT -- Bathurst:
Equipment installation, August 21 to 27

eglinton crosstown logo.png

Metrolinx contractors are working to build the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line.

Crews are installing underground monitoring equipment at various points along Eglinton Avenue West. The equipment measures the work of the tunnel-boring machines, as they proceed underground. The data they provide allows construction crews to adjust tunneling activities under the street, if necessary.

They’re installing the equipment at the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West, from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day, starting Friday, August 21 and continuing until Friday, August 27. They’ll be working in, and temporarily blocking, one lane of traffic to drill and install the monitors. They’ll use cones to separate the work zone from traffic. A “paid-duty” Toronto Police Service officer will be on the site to direct traffic. The work will not block sidewalks and pedestrians will have access to all businesses.

  • 7 Bathurst;
  • 32 Eglinton West;
  • 307 Eglinton West overnight; and
  • 310 Bathurst overnight.
