Burlington Transit revises routes, services,
October 4



Burlington Transit is reorganizing its routes at Appleby GO Station so that all BT buses operate through the south-side loop at the station instead of the north-side, starting Monday, October 5.

It’s also making various other minor changes to its services, starting Sunday, October 4.


Burlington Transit is revising service along these routes: 1 Plains; 2 Brant North, 3 Guelph - Downtown, 4 Central, 5 Francis - Downtown, 6 Headon, 10 New / Maple, 20A Lakeshore / Burloak, 20B Burloak / Lakeshore, 21 Fairview, 40A Hampton Heath / Pinedale, 40B Pinedale / Hampton Heath, 101 Plains express.

Specifically, Burlington Transit is: increasing service along routes; decreasing service along routes; revising the paths for buses operating along routes; and adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes.

Increasing service along routes


80 Harvester

Starting Monday, October 5, Burlington Transit revises the path for operating along the route so that buses start and end their trips at the south-side bus loop at Appleby GO Station, instead of the north-side loop.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • on Fairview Street east of Appleby Line and across from Appleby GO Station and
  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station and
  • on Fairview Street beside Appleby GO Station and at Appleby Line.

81 / 83 North Service

Starting Monday, October 5, Burlington Transit revises the path for operating along the route so that buses start and end their trips at the south-side bus loop at Appleby GO Station, instead of the north-side loop.

Eastbound buses operating along the 80 Harvester route no longer drop off serve these stops (although Burlington Transit buses operating along other routes continue to serve them):

  • on Harvester Road east of Appleby Line and across from South Service Road and

Westbound buses operating along the 80 Harvester route no longer drop off serve this stop (although Burlington Transit buses operating along other routes continue to serve them):

  • on Harvester Road at South Service Road.

Burlington Transit no longer provides any transit service to this stop:

  • the north-side loop at Appleby GO Station.

Revising the paths for buses operating along routes


80 Harvester

Starting Monday, October 5, buses start and end their trips at the south-side bus loop at Appleby GO Station, instead of the north-side loop.

Eastbound buses operate along their usual route to Harvester Road and Appleby Line, then proceed:

southward along Appleby;
eastward along Fairview Street; and then
northward into Appleby GO Station south-side bus loop,
ending their trips.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • on Fairview Street east of Appleby Line and across from Appleby GO Station and
  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station.

Eastbound buses operating along the 80 Harvester route no longer drop off serve these stops (although Burlington Transit buses operating along other routes continue to serve them):

  • on Harvester Road east of Appleby Line and across from South Service Road and

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound routing.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station and
  • on Fairview Street beside Appleby GO Station and at Appleby Line.

Westbound buses operating along the 80 Harvester route no longer drop off serve this stop (although Burlington Transit buses operating along other routes continue to serve them):

Starting Monday, October 5, buses start and end their trips at the south-side bus loop at Appleby GO Station, instead of the north-side loop.

Eastbound buses start their trips in Appleby GO Station south-side bus loop, then proceed:

westward along Fairview Street;
northward along Appleby Line; and then
eastward along Harvester Road to the north entrance to Appleby GO Station,
resuming their usual route eastward along Harvester.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station,
  • on Fairview Street beside Appleby GO Station and at Appleby Line and
  • on Harvester Road east of Appleby Line and across from South Service Road.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound routing.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route):

  • on Harvester Road at South Service Road,
  • on Fairview Street east of Appleby Line and across from Appleby GO Station and
  • in the south-side loop at Appleby GO Station.
