The TTC is repairing the streetcar track allowance
- on Springhurst Avenue between Dufferin Street and Fort Rouille Street.
to return the track area to a state of good repair, starting 8 a.m. Wednesday, November 25.
Crews reconfigure traffic lanes before 7 a.m. November 25. They’re maintaining driveway access within the work zone as best as possible during the work.
At about 8 a.m., a crew starts breaking and removing concrete along the track area. They’ll finish removing concrete by the evening.
To speed up the work and make sure that the track is ready for crews to deliver and place concrete by 9 a.m. Thursday, November 26, four TTC carpenters are installing about 260 linear feet of formwork overnight starting at 11:30 p.m. This work allows more time to cure the new concrete.
At 9 a.m. Thursday, crews start placing concrete and allow it to cure through to Friday, November 27. Crews return to remove the formwork and place hot asphalt before re-opening the roadway late Friday night.
The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes during the work:
29 Dufferin
The TTC is already detouring buses operating along the 29C branch of the route during long-term construction near BMO Field.
From Wednesday, November 25 until Friday, November 26, it’s detouring all buses operating along the route.
Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Dufferin and Springhurst Avenues, then detour:
southward along Dufferin;
westward along Saskatchewan Road and Manitoba Drive;
southward along Canada Drive; and then
eastward into Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.Southbound buses skip their regular stop
- in Dufferin Gate Loop.
Instead, all southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops
- on Saskatchewan Road east of Dufferin Street,
- on Manitoba Drive at Quebec Street, Nova Scotia Avenue and across from Exhibition Loop and
- in Princes’ Gate Loop.
Northbound buses start their trips in Princes’ Gate Loop, then proceed:
northward along Canada Drive; and then
westward along Manitoba Drive to Nova Scotia Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Manitoba.Northbound buses skip their regular stops:
- on Princes’ Boulevard across from Newfoundland Road (beside the Direct Energy Centre),
- on Nunavut Road north of Princes’ Boulevard (beside the Horse Palace) and
- in Dufferin Gate Loop.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops
- on Manitoba Drive beside Exhibition Loop, west of Nova Scotia Avenue and at Saskatchewan Road and
- on Saskatchewan Road at Dufferin Street.
504 King
Mondays to Fridays during rush hours, the TTC operates buses to supplement regular streetcar service along the 504 King route. The buses usually operate between Dufferin Loop and Parliament Street.
Instead, from Wednesday, November 25 until Friday, November 26, eastbound start their trips in Sunnyside Loop, then proceed:
southward along Sunnyside Avenue; and then
eastward along The Queensway and King Street West to Dufferin Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along King West.Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

- on Dufferin Street at Liberty Street and King Street West.
