Parking restrictions on Bloor Street West
to speed up subway replacement buses

The TTC is working with the City of Toronto Transportation Services Division and Toronto Police Services to improve bus service to passengers along Bloor Street West tomorrow, Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6.

The TTC is closing the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway line between Keele and St George Stations tomorrow and Sunday. The City has temporarily revised parking regulations at key points along the street and the police will enforce those rules to reduce delays to the buses that are replacing subway service.

This weekend, the City is prohibiting parking:

Eastbound

  • on the south side of Bloor West between Brock Avenue and Dufferin Street, near Dufferin Station; and
  • on the south side of Bloor West between Robert Street and Spadina Avenue, near Spadina Station.

Westbound

  • on the north side of Bloor West between Huron Street and Spadina Road, near Spadina Station;
  • on the north side of Bloor West between Albany and Bathurst Street, near Bathurst Station;
  • on the north side of Bloor West between Gladstone Avenue and Dufferin Street, near Dufferin Station; and
  • on the north side of Bloor West between Indian Grove and Keele Street, near Keele Station.

Restricting parking at these locations addresses traffic congestion around pinch points that TTC staff and passengers have observed during previous occasions that the TTC has closed the line.
