Introducing new services

Dial-a-Ride North

Starting Monday, January 4, YRT introduces the Dial-a-Ride North pilot program to improve transportation options for residents in the towns of East Gwillimbury and Georgina.

The service connects passengers to conventional public transit and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. YRT is partnering with Community and Home Assistance to Seniors (CHATS) to provide DAR North. Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation is funding the service.

DAR North serves passengers in a large area of East Gwillimbury and Georgina with addresses that exceed walking distance of conventional public transit service.
