PRESTO shuts down its website,
January 15 to 18

PRESTO is upgrading its central operating system, late Friday, January 15 until early Monday, January 18. While the PRESTO team is upgrading the system, the website will be unavailable and the team is also planning to temporarily interrupt PRESTO account service through the contact centre.

You can still use your PRESTO fare cards to pay transit fares and load funds at a PRESTO customer service outlet or self-serve reload machine.

Make sure you complete necessary on-line transactions on the PRESTO website today, Thursday, January 13 so you have enough funds to travel this weekend, Saturday, January 16 and Sunday, January 17.

According to PRESTO, the upgrade will enable essential features as the TTC rolls out PRESTO on its vehicles and in its stations, allow passengers more options for trips using vehicles from more than one transit agency and improve customer self-serve functions.

PRESTO will restore all services by early January 18 morning.

The PRESTO call centre will be open to answer general inquiries during the outage, but staff won’t be able to perform account activities — for example, load funds onto your cards. You can buy a new card or load funds in person at any customer service outlet.
