Broadview Station - urgent track work:
Overnight, February 26

TTC crews will be conducting urgent maintenance work at Broadview Station to clear the track drainage system. Yesterday’s storm flooded the streetcar platform and affected streetcar service. Crews will clear the track drainage system of any obstructions and debris to prevent flooding from recurring.

They’ll use a truck with a high-pressure vacuum system to work as quickly as possible. The crews will park the vacuum truck inside the station at street level. Expect noise.

The crew will be onsite at 12:01 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, February 26 (in other words, after midnight tonight). For passenger and worker safety, they’ll work from about midnight until 2 a.m., when streetcar service is least frequent at the station.

The TTC will maintain regular streetcar service along the 304 King overnight, 504 King and 505 Dundas routes.
