Spadina streetcar tunnel construction:
TTC detour, February 27, 28

The TTC is upgrading the overhead wiring and electrical power supply inside the streetcar tunnel at Spadina Station this weekend.

It’s detouring streetcars operating along these routes to accommodate the work:

  • 317 Spadina overnight; and
  • 510 Spadina.

The streetcars operate to and from Bathurst Station, instead of the streetcar terminal at Spadina Station.

Shuttle buses replace the cars, operating between Spadina Station bus terminal and Queen Street.

Drivers will open all doors of the shuttle buses so passengers with a proof-of-payment may board. Since the TTC has not yet equipped buses with PRESTO fare-card devices, PRESTO users must board by the front door and pay with cash, tickets or tokens and take a transfer from the driver as proof-of-payment.
