Update — Sunday, March 21, 8:44 a.m.: Starting Monday, March 22, the TTC is upgrading water-mains at Dundas West Station as part of this project.
Starting Monday, March 7, TTC crews are digging a series of shafts as part of the project to upgrade Vincent (or “Keele”) Yard on the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway line between Keele and Dundas West Stations.
Digging one of these shafts requires crews to block through traffic on the laneway between Dorval Road and Dundas Street West. The work will not obstruct cirect access to rear parking spots.
This work is part of the overall upgrades at the subway yard, which includes rehabilitating the fire main and sprinkler system to meet building code and safety standards. The TTC plans to store more subway cars in the yard overnight.
Crews continue to block the laneway between Dorval Road and Dundas Street West until April 30 June 13.
