City of Brampton, transit workers
ratify collective agreement



The City of Brampton and the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1573 have ratified a new collective agreement.

Union members voted in favour of the new agreement yesterday, Tuesday, May 10; Brampton city council approved the deal today, Wednesday, May 11, during its regular meeting.

ATU 1573 represents about 944 of the City’s transit workers, including bus operators and mechanics.

The four-year collective agreement is in place until June 30, 2019.
