Huron Street Angus construction:
Barrie Transit detours start May 16



Starting Monday, May 16, the Township of Essa is closing

  • Huron Street between Centre and King Streets in Angus

during a project to build a new roadway and install sidewalks.

Barrie Transit is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 90A Angus / Borden; and
  • 90B Peacekeepers Way.

Construction on Huron Street and the detours continue until “early July” or until July 15.


90A Angus / Borden

From Monday, May 16 until Friday, July 15, buses operate along their regular route to Centre and Huron Streets, then detour:

westward along Centre; and then
southward along Auburn Street to King Street,
resuming their regular route westward along King.

Buses skip their regular stops

  • on Huron Street across from Angus Community Park and
  • on King Street across from Alma Street.
90B Peacekeepers Way

From Monday, May 16 until Friday, July 15, buses operate along their regular route to King and Auburn Streets, then detour:

northward along Auburn; and then
eastward along Centre to Huron Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Centre.

Buses skip their regular stops:

  • on King Street at Alma Street and
  • on Huron Street beside Angus Community Park.
