Starting Monday, May 16, the Township of Essa is closing
- Huron Street between Centre and King Streets in Angus
during a project to build a new roadway and install sidewalks.
Barrie Transit is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:
Construction on Huron Street and the detours continue until “early July” or until July 15.

From Monday, May 16 until Friday, July 15, buses operate along their regular route to Centre and Huron Streets, then detour:
westward along Centre; and then
southward along Auburn Street to King Street,
resuming their regular route westward along King.Buses skip their regular stops
- on Huron Street across from Angus Community Park and
- on King Street across from Alma Street.
90B Peacekeepers Way
From Monday, May 16 until Friday, July 15, buses operate along their regular route to King and Auburn Streets, then detour:
northward along Auburn; and then
eastward along Centre to Huron Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Centre.Buses skip their regular stops:
- on King Street at Alma Street and
- on Huron Street beside Angus Community Park.
