The City of Mississauga is closing:

  • Torbram Road between Rena Road and Kimbel Street

starting Friday, May 20 as contractors get ready for upcoming construction of two grade separations. The grade separations are overpasses to carry the tracks of the Canadian National Railway’s Galt and Halton subdivisions over the roadway. GO Transit trains serving the 31 Kitchener line operate along the Galt Subdivision at this point.

Trains crossing Torbram on the two railway lines often delay traffic in both directions. Mississauga is working with the City of Brampton to build the bridges to eliminate the bottleneck.

During this preliminary phase of the project, Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating along this route:

  • 14 Torbram.

MiWay is detouring buses operating along this route:

  • 15 Drew.

Construction for this phase of the project on Torbram Road and the detours continue until July 15 17.
