Bramalea Cyclefest

All People’s Church and Bike Brampton (Brampton Bicycle Advisory Committee) are hosting the first annual event, supporting the Sick Kids Foundation.

The City of Brampton is closing:

  • Finchgate Boulevard between Queen Street East and Clark Boulevard.

Saturday morning and afternoon to accommodate the event.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses, while the street is closed.

From 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Glenvale Boulevard and Queen Street East, then detour:

westward along Queen East; and then
southward along Bramalea Road South to Kensington Road,
resuming their regular route westward along Kensington.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Finchgate Boulevard south of Queen Street East and at Clark Boulevard,
  • on Clark Boulevard across from Esplanade Road and Earnscliffe Gate and at Fleetwood Crescent and Bramalea Road South and
  • on Bramalea Road South at Fleetwood Crescent.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Queen Street East west of Glenvale Boulevard and
  • on Bramalea Road South at Kensington Road.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Kensington Road and Bramalea Road South, then detour:

southward along Bramalea South;
westward along Clark Boulevard;
northward along Central Park Drive South; and then
eastward along Queen Street East to Finchgate Boulevard / Glenvale Boulevard,
resuming their regular route northward along Glenvale.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Clark Boulevard at Edenborough Drive, Earnscliffe Gate and east of Esplanade Road and
  • on Finchgate Boulevard at Festoon Place and Queen Street East.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Knightsbridge Road at Kings Cross Road and Central Park Drive South,
  • on Central Park Drive South north of Clark Boulevard and
  • on Queen Street East east of Bramalea Road South.
