TTC replacing rails, detouring cars
on Queen East, June 10 to 13



The TTC is replacing streetcar rails on

  • Queen Street East at Jarvis Street

from 7 p.m. tonight, until 5 a.m. Monday.

While work proceeds, the TTC is detouring streetcars operating along these routes:

  • 301 Queen overnight; and
  • 501 Queen.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between Leslie Street and University Avenue.

501 Queen
301 Queen overnight

From 7 p.m. Friday, June 10 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 13, westbound cars operate along their regular route to Queen and King Streets East, then detour:

westward along King East;
northward along Church Street;
westward along Richmond Street East; and then
northward along Victoria Street to Queen East,
resuming their regular route westward along Queen.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at River, Sumach, Sackville, Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis, Church and Victoria Streets.

Instead, westbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on King Street East at River, Sumach and Sackville Streets, across from Trinity Street and at Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis and Church Streets,
  • on Church Street at Lombard Street and
  • on Victoria Street at Queen Street East.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between King Street East and Church Street. Westbound streetcar passengers may transfer to westbound buses at stops on Queen Streets West and East between Leslie Street and King Street East.

Eastbound cars operate along their regular route to Queen Street East and Church Street, then detour:

southward along Church; and then
eastward along King Street East to Queen East,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queen.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Queen Street East at Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario, Parliament, Sackville, Sumach and River Streets.

Instead, eastbound streetcars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Church Street at Richmond, Adelaide and King Streets East and
  • on King Street East at Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario, Parliament, Trinity, Sackville, Sumach and St. Lawrence Street.

Shuttle buses replace the cars between Church Street and King Street East. Eastbound streetcar passengers may transfer to eastbound buses at stops on Queen Streets West and East between University Avenue and Church Street.

301 / 501 Queen shuttle bus

From 7 p.m. Friday, June 10 until 5 a.m. Monday, June 13, buses replace streetcars, operating along the 301 Queen overnight and 501 Queen routes between Leslie Street and University Avenue.

(The TTC has not detailed how the buses loop at each end of their route.)

Westbound buses start their trips at Queen Street East and Leslie Street, then proceed:

westward along Queen Streets East and West to University Avenue,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

  • on Queen Street East at Leslie Street, Jones, Brooklin, Pape, Carlaw and Logan Avenues, east of Booth Avenue, at Boulton Street, Broadview Avenue and Carroll, River, Sumach, Sackville, Parliament, Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis, Church, Victoria and Yonge Streets and
  • on Queen Street West at Bay Street, across from York Street and at University Avenue.

Westbound bus passengers may transfer to westbound streetcars at stops on Queen Streets East and West between Victoria Street and University Avenue.

Eastbound buses reverse the westbound routing.

Eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops

  • on Queen Street West at University Avenue and York, Bay and Yonge Streets and
  • on Queen Street East at Victoria, Church, Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario, Parliament, Sackville, Sumach and River Streets, across from Carroll Street, at Broadview Avenue, Saulter Street, Empire Avenue, Logan, Carlaw, Pape and Caroline Avenues, across from Jones Avenue and at Leslie Street.

Eastbound bus passengers may transfer to eastbound streetcars at stops on Queen Street East between King Street East and Leslie Street.
