During construction in the terminal at St Clair West Station, starting Sunday, June 19, buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops on St. Clair Avenue West beside the subway station.

The TTC is also temporarily interlining buses operating along the route with those operating along the 33 Forest Hill route. By interlining the route, the TTC also increases the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Starting Monday, June 20, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route

• every 16 minutes, instead of every 17 minutes.

33 Forest Hill

• every 16 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes.

512 St Clair

During construction at St Clair West Station and on St. Clair Avenues East and West, the TTC is replacing streetcars with buses, starting Sunday, June 19.

The buses detour slightly from the regular streetcar route. At St Clair West Station, they drop off or pick up passengers at stops on the street beside the station, instead of entering the terminal.

Since the buses carry fewer passengers than streetcars, the TTC is adjusting its schedules. Buses generally operate more frequently than the streetcars at most times of the week (with some exceptions).

Starting Sunday, June 19, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route:

• every 9½ minutes, instead of every 10½ minutes, Sundays and holidays before about 8 a.m.;
• every 4 minutes 45 seconds, instead of every 5½ minutes, from about noon until 7 p.m.
• every 5 minutes 40 seconds, instead of every 5&frac; minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
• every 10 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes, after about 10 p.m.

Starting Monday, June 20, buses serve passengers at stops:

• every 2 minutes, instead of every 2 minutes 50 seconds, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours;
• every 3 minutes 20 seconds, instead of every 4½ minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.;
• every 2 minutes 20 seconds, instead of every 3 minutes 20 seconds, during afternoon rush hours; and
• every 4 minutes 45 seconds, instead of every 6 minutes 15 seconds, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Starting Saturday, June 25, the buses serve passengers:

• every 8 minutes, instead of every 8½ minutes, Saturdays before about 8 a.m.;
• every 4 minutes 15 seconds, instead of every 4½ minutes, from about 8 a.m. until noon;
• every 3 minutes 20 seconds, instead of every 4 minutes, from about noon until 7 p.m.; and
• every 5 minutes 20 seconds, instead of every 5½ minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.; and
• every 8 minutes, instead of every 6 minutes 15 seconds,after about 10 p.m.

If you pay your fare with cash, tokens or tickets, make sure you pick up a paper transfer when you pay, to change between subway trains and buses at St Clair Station and St Clair West Stations.

The temporary 512 St Clair bus route will be a “POP” route, meaning you can board any bus at any stop at any door at any time, if you have a POP — a proof of payment, such as a transfer or pass. If you pay your fare with cash, tokens or tickets, make sure you pick up a paper transfer when you pay, if you plan to change between subway trains and buses at St. Clair West and St. Clair Stations.

The TTC has also equipped all buses operating along 512 St Clair with PRESTO fare-card devices.

90 Vaughan

During construction in the terminal at St Clair West Station, starting Sunday, June 19, the TTC is revising the path for buses operating along the route. The buses start and end their trips in Bathurst Station terminal, instead of St Clair West Station terminal.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route to Vaughan Road and St. Clair Avenue West, then proceed:

southward along Vaughan Road and Bathurst Street; and then
eastward into Bathurst Station terminal,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

• on St Clair Avenue West east of Vaughan Road and east of Bathurst Street and
• in St Clair West terminal.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers in temporary stops

• on Bathurst Street at Alcina Avenue, Davenport Road, beside #1138 Bathurst, at Dupont Street and at Olive and Barton Avenues and
• in Bathurst Station terminal.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

• in St Clair West Station terminal and
• on St. Clair Avenue West west of Bathurst Street.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

• in Bathurst Station terminal and
• on Bathurst Street at Barton Avenue, Wells and Dupont Streets, Bridgman Avenue, Davenport Road and Nina Street.

The TTC is adjusting the schedules to accommodate the longer routing, increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at different times of the week.

Starting Sunday, June 19, the buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the entire route:

• every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, Sundays and holidays from about 8 a.m. until noon;
• every 8 minutes 15 seconds, instead of every 8 minutes, from about noon until 7 p.m.; and
• every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Starting Monday, June 20, the buses serve passengers at stops

• every 5 minute 15 seconds, instead of every 4 minutes, during morning rush hours; and
• every 8½ minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.;
• every 7 minutes, instead of every 5 minutes 15 seconds, during afternoon rush hours; and
• every 8 minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, after about 10 p.m.

Starting Saturday, June 25, the buses serve passengers along the entire route:

• every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, Saturdays before about 8 a.m.;
• every 8 minutes 15 seconds, instead of every 8 minutes, from about 8 a.m. until 7 p.m.; and
• every 10 minutes, instead of every 12 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Transit agencies often interline two or more routes with a common terminal to save resources — meaning the number of drivers and the number of vehicles to provide the services. During construction at St Clair West Station, for example, a bus may finish a trip along the 126 Christie route at on-street stops near the station, but it will leave the stop for a trip along the 33 Forest Hill route. It returns to the station after completing a trip along 33 Forest Hill, but then continues along 126 Christie.
