Update — Thursday, August 11, 3:29 p.m.: Paving operations block the intersection of Winston Churchill with Dover Gate Wednesday, August 17. Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 102 Winston Park route. Paving blocks the intersection with Plymouth Drive Thursday, August 18. Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 2 Lakeshore route. MiWay may also detour buses operating along the 45 Winston Churchill route.
Update — Wednesday, August 3, 10:19 a.m.: The regions are reopening southbound lanes and closing all northbound lanes between Royal Windsor Drive and the Queen Elizabeth Way. All traffic in both directions operates along the southbound lanes.
Update — Tuesday, July 26, 6:45 p.m.*: Paving operations block the intersection of Winston Churchill with Kingsway Drive Thursday, July 28. Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 2 Lakeshore route. Paving blocks the intersection with Sheridan Garden Drive Thursday, July 28 and Friday, July 29. Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 21 Clearview route.
Update — Monday, June 26, 9:03 a.m.: The regions are closing all southbound lanes between the Queen Elizabeth Way and Royal Windsor Drive. All traffic in both directions operates along the northbound lanes.
Starting Monday, June 20, Regions of Halton and Peel contractors work on a joint project to resurface
- Winston Churchill Boulevard between Dundas Street and Royal Windsor Drive.
Crews are:
- milling and grading the roadbed;
- paving the roadway with hot-mix asphalt;
- removing and replacing curbs;
- repairing and adjusting other roadway structures;
- placing permanent pavement markings; and
- restoring the roadway.
During construction, MiWay passengers should expect delays to service along these routes:
- 29 Park Royal - Homelands; and
- 45 / 45A Winston Churchill.
Oakville Transit passengers should expect delays to service along these routes:
- 2 Lakeshore;
- 21 Clearview; and
- 102 Winston Park.
Construction on Winston Churchill Boulevard and the transit delays continue until October 31.
