Starting Monday, June 20, the TTC is rehabilitating large sections of the bus roadway at Broadview Station to maintain it in a state of good repair.
It’s closing the bus terminal throughout the project so that crews can safely and efficiently complete the work. Passengers must board and exit buses operating along these routes outside of the station on the south side of Erindale Avenue:
From Monday, June 20 until Saturday, September 4, buses won’t enter the bus terminal. They’ll detour:
eastward along Erindale Avenue;
southward along Ellerbeck Avenue;
westward along Danforth Avenue; and then
northward along Broadview Avenue to the bus exit from Broadview Station terminal,
resuming their regular route northward along Broadview.
The TTC will maintain streetcar service along the 304 / 504 King and 505 Dundas routes during most of the project. However, it may occasionally replace streetcars with buses during some weekends as the project proceeds.
TTC crews are installing protective hoarding along the bus roadway, including in front of the main entrance and some areas of the passenger platform, to maintain your safety. They’re working Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
If you pay your fare with cash, tokens or tickets, make sure you pick up a paper transfer when you pay to change between subway trains and buses at Broadview Station.
The TTC is posting signs and assigning customer-service staff to help you find your way during construction.
To efficiently maintain TTC bus service around the station and reduce congestion at Broadview and Danforth Avenues, the City of Toronto will adjust traffic regulations in the area.
It will temporarily prohibit street parking on:
- Erindale Avenue between Broadview Avenue and Ellerbeck Street;
- Ellerbeck Street between Erindale and Danforth Avenues; and
- the north side of Danforth Avenue between Ellerbeck Street and Broadview Avenue.
The City will temporarily convert Ellerbeck Avenue to a two-way street between Erindale Avenue and Danforth Avenue.
