Summer weekend GO trains on Barrie line
start June 25

GO Transit will again operate trains along the 65 Barrie line Saturdays, Sundays and holidays this summer, starting Saturday, June 26.

Since GO expects that most passengers traveling to and from downtown Toronto will ride trains, instead of buses, it’s cancelling some trips along the 65 Newmarket / Toronto bus route for the summer.

It’s also extending some trips along the 68 Barrie / Newmarket route to Aurora GO Station, where you can connect with the trains, instead of Newmarket GO Bus Terminal.

65 Barrie trains

The buses arrive in Aurora at 10:11 a.m., 2:41, 4:22 and 8:41 p.m. so that you can connect to the southbound seasonal weekend trains that leave Aurora at 10:26 a.m. and 2:56, 4:47 and 8:56 p.m.

The northbound buses that usually leave Newmarket GO Bus Terminal at 1:20, 5:25, 7:25 and 11:15 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays start, instead, at Aurora GO Station. GO designates these trips as operating along the “68C branch”, instead of the “68 branch” on its schedules.
