Yonge Street crane activity:
TTC detour, June 25 to 27



The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Yonge Street south of Dundas Street

as contractors lift a crane onto a construction site from 9 p.m. tonight, Friday, June 24 until 6 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, June 25 and continuing overnight nightly until 6 a.m. June 27.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along this route, while street is closed:

  • 320 Yonge overnight.

The TTC previously detoured the buses for the same project, Saturday, June 11 until Tuesday, June 14.


320 Yonge overnight

Saturday, June 25, Sunday, June 26 and Monday, June 27, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Elm Streets, then detour:

westward along Elm;
southward along Bay Street; and then
eastward along Adelaide Street West to Yonge,
resuming their regular route southward along Yonge.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Yonge Street at Dundas Street West, across from #247 Yonge and Shuter Street and at Queen and Richmond Streets West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Bay Street at Dundas Street West, Hagerman Street, Nathan Phillips Square and Queen and Adelaide Streets West.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Richmond Streets, then detour:

westward along Richmond Street West;
northward along Bay Street; and then
eastward along Edward Street to Yonge,
resuming their regular route northward along Yonge.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Yonge Street at Queen Street East, Shuter Street and Dundas Street East.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Bay Street at Queen Street West, Albert Street, across from Hagerman Street and at Dundas Street West.
