Pleasant Boulevard crane activity:
TTC detours, July 7, 8



The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Pleasant Boulevard west of Avoca Avenue

overnight tonight and early tomorrow, as contractors lift a crane at a construction site.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 74 Mt Pleasant; and
  • 88 South Leaside.

Although the TTC has not confirmed the information, it’s likely also detouring buses operating along these routes, during the crane activity:

  • 312 St Clair overnight; and
  • 512 St Clair.

74 Mt Pleasant

From 10 p.m. tonight, Thursday, July 7 until 5 a.m. tomorrow, Friday, July 8, southbound buses operate along their regular route to St. Clair Avenue East at Avoca Avenue, then detour:

westward along St. Clair East; and then
southward into St Clair Station streetcar terminal,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops:

  • on Avoca Avenue south of St. Clair Avenue East and
  • on Pleasant Boulevard beside St Clair Station bus terminal.

Instead, northbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop

  • in St Clair Station streetcar terminal.

Northbound buses start their trips in St Clair Station streetcar terminal, then proceed:

eastward along St. Clair Avenue East to Avoca Avenue,
resuming their regular route eastward along St. Clair East.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Pleasant Boulevard beside St Clair Station bus terminal and
  • on Yonge Street at St. Clair Avenue East.

Instead, northbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • in St Clair Station streetcar terminal.

312 St Clair overnight

(The TTC has replaced streetcars with buses along the 512 St Clair route during three construction projects on St. Clair Avenues East and West. They’ve been operating to and from the bus terminal on Pleasant Boulevard, instead of the streetcar terminal on St. Clair Avenue East, during the construction, so the buses are likely detouring. However, the TTC has not confirmed detour information.)

southward into the streetcar terminal,

  • in the bus terminal at St Clair Station.
