Some PRESTO services unavailable,
July 15 to 17

Some on-line services for PRESTO fare-card users will be unavailable from the evening of Friday, July 15 until late evening Sunday, July 17, while PRESTO maintains its system.

This work is the first step in upgrading prestocard.ca later this year with a “refreshed and mobile-enhanced” website that, PRESTO says, will be easier for you to use and navigate.

During the system maintenance, you can still:

  • Use your PRESTO card for travel and perform actions online or through the contact centre (such as loading your card), but your account will not be updated until the system comes back online after the weekend.
  • Add value to your PRESTO card that you can use immediately during the system maintenance in-person at a GO Station, at a PRESTO customer service outlet or at a self-serve reload Machine Sunday only.
  • Submit a GO Transit Service Guarantee claim, but the system will not process it until staff have finished maintaining the system.

The TTC advises that you can’t use your credit or debit card on the fares-and-transfer machines on new streetcars this weekend. You can only pay by token or cash at the machines.

PRESTO devices will continue to display accurate fare and balance information during the system maintenance. However, the system will not update your on-line account information until staff have finished maintaining the system.
