This weekend, Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17, the TTC is closing the

between Bayview and Sheppard - Yonge Stations, as crews replace the rails on that section of the line.

Line 4 trains operate only between Don Mills and Bayview stations.

Shuttle buses operate along Sheppard Avenues East and West between Don Mills and Sheppard - Yonge, stopping only at subway stations along the route.

To travel to a bus stop between stations, board a bus operating along the 85 Sheppard East route, as you would usually. The TTC is increasing service along that route during the weekend.

Wheel-Trans is operating vehicles between Bayview and Sheppard-Yonge stations if you need more accessible service. Speak to any TTC staff member to ask for Wheel-Trans.

Regular subway service resumes 6 a.m. July 18.

The TTC again closes this section of the line Saturday, October 22 and Sunday, October 23.

Challenge to transit trivia buffs: We think this is the first time that the TTC has closed the Sheppard subway for maintenance. Can you recall another occasion?

The subway opened for passengers November 24, 2002.
