Less frequent GO trains
along Lakeshore lines, August 5 to 7



Two construction projects affect service along GO Transit’s 01 Lakeshore West and 09 Lakeshore East lines next weekend. Trains operate every hour, instead of every 30 minutes, Friday, August 5 evening and all day Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7.

01 Lakeshore West

Crews are maintaining the level crossing at Alexandra Avenue (between Cawthra and Dixie Roads) in Mississauga.

  • Friday, August 5:
  • Eastbound: Trains operate every hour, starting with the train that leaves Aldershot GO Station at 7:01 p.m. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Aldershot at 7:31, 8:31 and 9:31 p.m.
  • Westbound: Trains operate every hour, starting with the train that leaves Union Station at 6:43 p.m. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Union at 7:13, 8:13, 9:13, 10:13 and 11:13 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7:
  • Eastbound: Hourly service all day. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Aldershot at 31 minutes past the hour. The trains that usually leave at one minute past the hour continue to operate.
  • Westbound: Hourly service all day. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Union at 13 minutes past the hour. The trains that usually leave at 43 minutes past the hour continue to operate.

GO trains serving the 12 Niagara Falls line and GO buses serving the 16 Hamilton / Toronto express, 40 Hamilton / Pearson / Richmond Hill and 47 Hamilton / York U routes continue to operate with regular schedules.

GO buses serving the 12 Niagara Falls / Burlington, 15 McMaster, 19 Oakville / North York, 18 Lakeshore West and 46 Oakville / York U routes continue to operate with regular schedules. Passengers connecting with trains at GO stations may have to wait as long as 30 minutes for the next train.

The Hamilton Street Railway, Burlington Transit, Oakville Transit, MiWay and TTC continue to operate with regular schedules. Passengers may have to wait in GO stations as long as an hour for the next train.

09 Lakeshore East

Metrolinx contractors continue to build new pedestrian tunnels under the tracks at Guildwood GO Station.

  • Friday, August 5:
  • Westbound: Trains operate every hour, starting with the train that leaves Oshawa GO Station at 6:38 p.m. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Oshawa at 7:08, 8:08, 9:08 and 10:08 p.m.
  • Eastbound: Trains operate every hour, starting with the train that leaves Union Station at 7:17 p.m. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Union at 7:48, 8:48, 9:48, and 10:48 p.m.
  • Saturday, August 6 and Sunday, August 7:
  • Westbound: Hourly service all day. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Oshawa at 11 minutes past the hour. The trains that usually leave at 41 minutes past the hour continue to operate.
  • Eastbound: Hourly service all day. GO is cancelling the trains that usually leave Union at 43 minutes past the hour. The trains that usually leave at 13 minutes past the hour continue to operate.

GO buses serving the 51 Pickering / York U, 52 Oshawa / York U, 81 Port Perry / Whitby, 88 Peterborough / Oshawa, 90 Lakeshore East and 96 Oshawa / Finch express routes continue to operate with regular schedules. Passengers connecting with trains at GO stations may have to wait as long as 30 minutes for the next train.

Durham Region Transit and the TTC continue to operate with regular schedules. Passengers may have to wait in GO stations as long as an hour for the next train.
