Drury / Prospect construction:
Burlington Transit detour starts August 15



Starting Monday, August 15, the City of Burlington is closing:

  • the intersection of Drury Lane with Prospect Street

during a project to upgrade the water- and wastewater-mains.

(Work on the same project blocked parts of New Street for most of this spring and summer.)

Burlington Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the intersection is closed:

  • 4 Central.

Construction at Drury / Prospect and the detour continue until October 21.


4 Central

From Monday, August 15 until Friday, October 21, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Drury Lane and Sharron Street, then detour:

eastward along Sharron; and then
northward along Ashley Street to Prospect Street,
resuming their regular route eastward along Prospect.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Drury Lane at Prospect Street.

Westbound buses reverse the eastbound detour routing.

Westbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Drury Lane south of Prospect Street.
