The City of Hamilton is closing

  • Bay Street North between King Street West and York Boulevard

Tuesday morning, afternoon and evening to accommodate a street party before The Tragically Hip concert in First Ontario Centre.

Burlington Transit is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 4 Bayfront;
  • 7 Locke;
  • 8 York; and
  • 99 Waterfront shuttle.

1 Plains

Hamilton-bound buses operate along their regular route.

From 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular route to King Street West and Bay Street, then detour:

westward along King West; and then
northward along Hess Street North to Cannon Street West,
resuming their regular route westward along Cannon West.

Burlington-bound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Bay Street North at Vine Street.

Hamilton-bound buses operate along their regular route.

From 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 16, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular route to King Street West and Bay Street, then detour:

westward along King West; and then
northward along Hess Street North to Cannon Street West,
resuming their regular route westward along Cannon West.

Buses drop off or pick up passengers at all stops.
