Middlegate Road Mississauga construction:
MiWay detours start August 29



Update — Monday, November 14, 6:51 a.m.: Construction has ended and regular service has resumed.


The City of Mississauga is closing:

  • Middlegate Road between Haines and Stanfield Roads

during a Region of Peel construction project to replace the water-main and sanitary sewer.

MiWay is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 51 Tomken.

Construction on Middlegate Road and the detour continue until September 25.

From Monday, August 29 until Sunday, September 25, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Haines and Middlegate Roads, then detour:

southward along Haines;
eastward along Queensway East; and then
northward along Stanfield Road to Middlegate,
resuming their regular route northward along Stanfield.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Middlegate Road east of Haines Road [3 stops] and at Stanfield Road.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route.
