103 Mt Pleasant North

Saturday, September 3 was the last day that the TTC operates buses along the route.

Starting Sunday, September 4, the TTC temporarily extends the 74 Mt Pleasant route to operate between Doncliffe Loop and St Clair Station.

The TTC says that ongoing Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line restricts it from turning buses at Mount Pleasant Road and Eglinton Avenue East.

Passengers travelling to or from Eglinton Station must transfer at Eglinton East and Mount Pleasant.

Southbound TTC buses operating along the 103 Mt Pleasant North route no longer drop off or pick up passengers at stops:

• on Eglinton Avenue East at Redpath Avenue, across from Dunfield Avenue and at Yonge Street (Buses operating along routes 34, 51, 54, 334 and 354 continue to serve these stops) and
• in Eglinton Station bus terminal (Routes 5, 32, 34, 51, 54, 56 and 61 continue).

34B branch

Starting Saturday, September 10, the TTC also operates buses along a new 34B (Don Mills - Kennedy Station) short-turn branch. Service along this branch provides passengers with extra service along the east end of the route Saturdays before about 7 p.m.

Westbound buses operating along the 34B branch drop off or pick up passengers at new stops (for this route). (Buses operating along other TTC routes also serve the stops).

The new westbound stops are:

• on Don Mills Road north of Eglinton Avenue East (Buses operating along routes 25, 100, 325 and 354 also serve this stop); and
• on Wynford Drive east of Don Mills Road (Also route 100).

Eastbound buses start their trips on Wynford Drive east of Don Mills Road, then proceed:

Starting Sunday, September 4, the TTC operates buses along a new 34C (Eglinton Station-Flemingdon Park) branch all day, every day.

The TTC says that service along this new branch is temporary during ongoing Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line. However, this may be the final configuration of the east end of the route when the new rapid transit line opens.

Service along this new branch replaces service along two branches of the 100 Flemingdon Park route and offers passengers faster service between Flemingdon Park and the 1 Yonge - University subway line.

Westbound buses start their trips on Grenoble Drive across from Spanbridge Road, then proceed:

eastward along Spanbridge;
northward along Linkwood Lane;
east- and northward along St. Dennis Drive;
northward along Wynford Drive and Concorde Place to the north end of Concorde; then turning around and proceeding
southward along Concorde;
westward along Wynford;
southward along Gervais Drive to Eglinton Avenue East,
then proceeding along the usual route westward along Eglinton East.

191 Highway 27 rocket

Starting Tuesday, September 6, buses operate along the new 191D (Kipling Station - Steeles via Royalcrest) branch, which is the main rush-hour service. Buses serving the new branch operate between Steeles Avenue West and Kipling Station and also serve Royalcrest Road / Highway 27 and Humber College. They do not operate through the Attwell Drive employment area, but provide fast, direct service along Highway 27 in both directions.

The TTC is also increasing service and increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along different parts of the route. It’s also adjusting the schedules for buses operating along the route.

131 Nugget

131F express branch

The TTC is continuing its program of rehabilitating the cars that operate along the 3 Scarborough rapid transit line. It’s temporarily withdrawing some cars from service to complete the work.

By removing cars from service, the TTC has fewer trains available to operate along the line. It’s maintaining summer service levels during rush hours throughout the fall.

To provide alternate service for passengers, the TTC’s increasing the frequency of service along the 131 Nugget route. It’s introducing this new express branch of the route, with frequent buses operating only between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy stations.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, some northbound express buses leaving Kennedy Station operate only as far as Scarborough Centre Station, along the 131F Nugget Express / To Scarborough Centre Station branch. Other northbound express buses operate to Scarborough Centre Station and then onwards to Old Finch Avenue along the 131E Nugget Express / To Old Finch branch. Buses serving the 131E branch drop off or pick up passengers at all local stops between Scarborough Centre and Old Finch.

100 Flemingdon Park

Friday, September 2 was the last day that the TTC operated buses along the 100B Flemingdon Park (Broadview Station-Don Mills & Wynford via Linkwood) branch of the route.

Saturday, September 3 was the last day it operated buses along the 100C Flemingdon Park (Broadview Station-Eglinton Station) branch.

Starting Sunday, September 4, all buses operate only along the 100A (Broadview Station-Don Mills & Wynford) at all times of the week.

Also starting Sunday, the TTC operates buses along the 34C (Eglinton Station-Flemingdon Park) branch of the 34 Eglinton East route to replace both branches and to improve service between Flemingdon Park and the 1 Yonge - University subway during ongoing Metrolinx construction of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line.

The TTC is also decreasing service and increasing the frequency of service along the route at most times of the week and making other changes to service along the route.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, southbound buses leave Humber College Terminal at 9:25, 9:45, 10:05 and 10:25 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. Northbound buses leave Kipling at 8:50, 9:10, 9:30, 9:50, 10:10 and 10:30 a.m.

The TTC is also increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along different parts of the route. It’s also adjusting the schedules for buses operating along the route.

37 Islington

37A branch (via Rexdale)

The TTC is adding a later trip to Monday-to-Friday schedules.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, the last southbound bus leaves Humberwood Loop at 2 a.m. Tuesdays to Saturdays.

195 Jane rocket

The TTC is adding more stops along the route.

Starting Sunday, September 4, buses drop off or pick up passengers at new southbound stops on Jane Street at:

• Frith Road and Chalkfarm Drive [north].

They also serve passengers at new northbound stops on Jane at:

• Exbury Road and Grandravine Drive.

The TTC is adding an earlier trip to the Sunday-and-holiday schedules.

The shorter route results in more frequent service along the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

The TTC is revising the path for buses operating along the branch Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at these stops:

• on Tapscott Road beside #s 900, 850 and 800 Tapscott.

Northbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at these stops:

• across from #850 Tapscott and beside #1051 Tapscott.

The TTC is adjusting the schedules for buses operating along the route “to provide a more reliable service” for passengers. This means that it’s increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at different times of the week.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route:

• every 9 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes 10 seconds, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours.

511 Bathurst

Summer service ends and regular service resumes. The TTC is both increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at different times of the week.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, streetcars drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route:

• every 4 minutes, instead of every 4 minutes 15 seconds, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours; and
• every 4 minutes 15 seconds, instead of every 4½ minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

Starting Saturday, September 10, the cars serve passengers at stops:

• every 5 minutes, instead of every 5½ minutes, Saturdays from about 8 a.m. until noon; and
• every 4 minutes, instead of every 4 minutes 20 seconds, from about noon until 7 p.m.

9 Bellamy

Summer service ends and regular service resumes. However, the TTC says it’s also revising its regular fall / winter schedules to “operate a more reliable service” for passengers. By revising the schedules, the TTC increases and decreases the frequency of service at different times of the week.

Starting Sunday, September 4, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route:

• every 22 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, Sundays and holidays from about 8 a.m. until noon.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, the buses serve passengers at stops

• every 17½ minutes, instead of every 18 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Starting Saturday, September 10, the buses serve passengers:

• every 22 minutes, instead of every 24 minutes, Saturdays from about 7 until 10 p.m.

2 Bloor - Danforth subway

The TTC operates four more trains along the line to increase the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, trains drop off or pick up passengers at stations along the line:

• every 2 minutes 21 seconds, instead of every 2 minutes 31 seconds, during morning rush hours; and
• every 2 minutes 31 seconds, instead of every 2 minutes 51 seconds, during afternoon rush hours.

514 Cherry

The TTC is increasing the frequency of service until it can serve the route only with Toronto Flexity cars in mid-2017.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, streetcars drop off or pick up passengers at stops along the route:

• every 10 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

The TTC is also making another change to service to service along the route.

34 Eglinton East

The TTC is increasing the frequency of service along parts of the route at most times of the week.

Starting Sunday, September 4, buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops east of Don Mills Road:

• every 6 minutes, instead of every 9 minutes, Sundays and holidays before about 8 a.m.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, buses serve passengers at the stops

131 Nugget

The TTC is continuing its program of rehabilitating the cars that operate along the 3 Scarborough rapid transit line. It’s temporarily withdrawing some cars from service to complete the work.

By removing cars from service, the TTC has fewer trains available to operate along the line. It’s maintaining summer service levels during rush hours throughout the fall, operating less frequent service than it usually does in the fall and winter.

To provide alternate service for passengers, the TTC’s increasing the frequency of service along the 131 Nugget route. It’s also introducing a new express branch of the route, with some buses operating only between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy stations.

Mondays to Fridays during rush hours, buses only operate along the 131E Nugget Express / To Old Finch or 131F Nugget Express / To Scarborough Centre Station branch. All buses drop off or pick up passengers at all local stops north and east of Scarborough Centre Station. All buses operate express south of Scarborough Centre.

By rerouting the service, the TTC avoids excessive delays when Canadian Pacific Railway trains block the crossing on Tapscott Road between McNicoll Avenue and Newgale Gate.

Generally, Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours, buses operate to Finchdene Square first, then Ironside Crescent. During afternoon rush hours, the buses operate to Ironside Crescent first, then Finchdene Square.

During morning rush hours, southbound buses start their trips on Ironside Crescent east of Tapscott Road, then proceed:

southward along Tapscott;
westward along McNicoll Avenue;
southward along Markham Road; and then
eastward along Finch Avenue East to Baldoon Road,

Northbound buses operate along their usual route to Tapscott and Finch East, then proceed:

eastward along Finch;
north-, west- and southward around Finchdene Square;
westward along Newgale Gate;
southward along Tapscott;
westward along Finch;
northward along Markham;
eastward along McNicoll; and then
north- and eastward along Ironside to Tapscott,
ending their trips.

During afternoon rush hours, southbound buses start their trips on Ironside Crescent east of Tapscott Road, then proceed:

southward along Tapscott;
westward along McNicoll Avenue;
southward along Markham Road;
eastward along Finch Avenue East;
north-, west- and southward around Finchdene Square;
westward along Newgale Gate; and then
southward along Tapscott to Finch,
resuming their usual route southward along Tapscott.

Northbound buses operate along their usual route to Baldoon Road and Finch, then proceed:

westward along Finch;
northward along Markham;
eastward along McNicoll; and then
north- and eastward along Ironside to Tapscott,
ending their trips.

Buses operating along the branch drop off and pick up passengers at new stops (for this route). (TTC buses operating along other routes continue to serve these new stops).

The new southbound stops for this route are:

• on Markham Road at Nashdene Road (TTC buses operating along the 102 route also serve this stop);
• on Finch Avenue East across from #5600 Finch East and at Tapscott Road (also route 102).

The new northbound stops for this route are:

• on Finch Avenue East beside #5600 Finch East and at Markham Road (TTC buses operating along routes 39, 199 and 339 also serve these stops);
• on Markham Road across from Nashdene Road and at McNicoll Avenue (also routes 39, 199, 339).

Southbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at these stops:

• on Tapscott Road beside #s 900, 850 and 800 Tapscott.

Northbound buses no longer drop off or pick up passengers at these stops:

• across from #850 Tapscott and beside #1051 Tapscott.

The TTC is cancelling all service to these stops.

It’s also decreasing the frequency of service along the branch.

191 Highway 27 rocket

The TTC is revising its service along the Mondays to Fridays during rush hours to carry passengers more quickly to Humber College’s North campus or Steeles Avenue West.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, buses operate along the new 191D (Kipling Station - Steeles via Royalcrest) branch, which is the main rush-hour service. Buses serving the new branch operate between Steeles Avenue West and Kipling Station and also serve Royalcrest Road / Highway 27 and Humber College. They do not operate through the Attwell Drive employment area, but provide fast, direct service along Highway 27 in both directions. Buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along this branch every five to six minutes Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.

The TTC is also revising the 191C (Kipling Station-Humber College via Attwell) branch so that bus operate only between Humber College and Kipling Station through the Attwell Drive employment area in both directions. Buses operating along this branch provide southbound service to Attwell during morning rush hours and northbound service afternoons. Buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops along this branch every 15 minutes, Mondays to Fridays during This service will operate every 15 minutes in the peak periods.

The TTC is not revising services at all other times of the week. Except for the buses that operate six trips along the 191A branch Monday-to-Friday mornings after the rush hours, all buses operate along the 191B branch. These buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops between Steeles and Kipling Station and also serve Humber College. They do not operate through the Attwell area.

86E Scarborough express

Starting Tuesday, September 6, the TTC is adjusting the schedules for buses operating along the express branch of the route Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. By adjusting the schedules, the TTC says, it can “operate a more reliable service”. Service levels remain the same as previously, but buses arrive at stops at different times than usually.

The TTC is also canceling branches of the route, decreasing service along the route and increasing the frequency of service along the route.

504 King

The TTC again operates buses, instead of streetcars, Mondays to Fridays during rush hours. The buses operate along the busiest part of the route between Roncesvalles and Broadview Avenues. (With the end of construction on the west end of St. Clair Avenue West, it’s reassigning the cars to operate along the 512 St Clair route.

Starting Tuesday, September 6, the TTC replaces eight Canadian Light Rail Vehicles (CLRVs) with 16 buses during morning rush hours. It replaces seven CLRVs with 14 buses during afternoon rush hours.

62 Mortimer

The TTC reopened Broadview Station bus terminal Sunday, September 4 after several months of construction.

Saturday, September 3 was the last day that the TTC interlined buses operating along the route with buses along the 20 Cliffside route Sundays and holidays after about 7 p.m. and Mondays to Fridays and Saturdays after about 10 p.m.

The TTC is also increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at different times of the week.

71 Runnymede

Saturday, September 3 was the last day that the TTC interlined buses operating along the route with buses along the 77 Swansea route Mondays to Fridays after about 9 a.m.

3 Scarborough rapid transit

The TTC is continuing its program of rehabilitating the cars that operate along the 3 Scarborough rapid transit line. It’s temporarily withdrawing some cars from service to complete the work.

By removing cars from service, the TTC has fewer trains available to operate along the line. It’s maintaining summer service levels of every five minutes during rush hours throughout the fall.

To provide alternate service for passengers travelling between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy stations, it’s increasing the frequency of service along express branches of the 131 Nugget route.

512 St Clair

Starting Sunday, September 4, the TTC resumed operating streetcars along the route between Gunns Loop and St Clair West Station after several months of construction.

Shuttle buses continue to operate between Oakwood Avenue and St Clair Station.

77 Swansea

Saturday, September 3 was the last day that the TTC interlined buses operating along the route with buses along the 71 Runnymede route Mondays to Fridays after about 9 a.m.
