The Town of Richmond Hill is closing:
- Crosby Avenue between Newkirk Road and Pugsley Avenue
from noon Tuesday, September 27 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 28 to allow Canadian National Railway railway crews to maintain the tracks at the Crosby level crossing.
York Region Transit is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:
- 83A Trench.

From noon, Tuesday, September 27 until 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Crosby Avenue and Newkirk Road, then detour:
southward along Newkirk;
westward along Centre Street East; and then
northward along Pugsley Avenue to Dunlop Street,
resuming their regular route westward along Dunlop.Southbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Crosby Avenue west of Newkirk Road and across from Pugsley Avenue.
Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Newkirk Road across from Shelley Road and at Centre Street East and
- on Centre Street East east of Pugsley Avenue.
Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Crosby and Pugsley Avenues, then detour:
southward along Pugsley;
eastward along Centre Street East; and then
northward along Newkirk Road to Crosby,
resuming their regular route eastward along Crosby.Northbound buses skip their regular stops
- on Crosby Avenue at Newkirk Road.
Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops
- on Pugsley Avenue at Centre Street East,
- on Centre Street East east of Pugsley Avenue and
- on Newkirk Road at Shelley Road and Crosby Avenue.
