Update — Wednesday, December 7, 5:24 p.m.: The contractors return to replace the passenger shelter, Saturday, December 10.
The TTC is expanding the passenger platform and replacing the shelters at Bingham Loop starting 7 a.m. tomorrow, Saturday, October 1.
The work improves the loop near Kingston Road and Victoria Park Avenue so that it meets accessibility guidelines and the requirements of Ontario’s Accessibility for Disabled Ontarians Act.
Crews work to expand the platform this week. They’ll install new passenger shelters late November.
The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while construction in the loop proceeds:
- 12 Kingston Rd;
- 22A Coxwell via Kingston Rd;
- 302 Kingston Rd - McCowan overnight;
- 322 Coxwell overnight via Kingston Rd; and
- 324 Victoria Park overnight.
Streetcars operating along these routes continue to operate through the loop during construction:
- 502 Downtowner; and
- 503 Kingston Rd tripper.
This weekend, Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, the TTC contractors are generally working from 7 a.m. until 9 p.m. each day. They’re also working from about 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. and from Monday, October 3 until Friday, October 7. The loop remains closed to all buses until October 7.
22A Coxwell via Kingston Rd
From Saturday, October 1 until Friday, October 7, west- and northbound buses start their trips on Victoria Park Avenue beside Bingham Loop, then proceed:
southward along Victoria Park; and then
westward along Kingston Road to Bingham Avenue,
resuming their regular route westward along Kingston.West- and northbound buses skip their regular stops
- in Bingham Loop and
- on Bingham Avenue at Kingston Road.
Instead, west- and northbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop:
- on Victoria Park Avenue beside Bingham Loop.
South- and eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Kingston Road and Bingham Avenue, then detour:
northward along Bingham;
eastward along Woodale Avenue; and then
southward along Victoria Park Avenue to beside Bingham Loop,

- in Bingham Loop.
Instead, south- and eastbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop:
