Revising the paths for transit vehicles operating along routes

506 Carlton

Since construction on College Street has ended, the TTC is restoring streetcar service along the entire route all times of the week, instead of operating buses west of Bay Street Mondays to Fridays and along the entire route Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Streetcars again operate to and from High Park Loop. Transit vehicles operating along the route no longer start and end their trips in Keele Station or drop off or pick up passengers at stops on Parkside Drive north of Howard Park Avenue.

The TTC is also increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at various times of the week.

64 Main

The TTC recently introduced “ten-minutes-or-better” service along the 87 Cosburn route. Since buses operating along the 64 Main route mostly parallel route 87 service north of Main Street Station, the TTC has decided to shorten the route.

Starting Sunday, October 9, buses operate only south of Main Street Station.

By eliminating service north of the station along this route, the TTC also eliminates all transit service to this stop:

  • on Main Street at Lumsden Avenue.

Southbound buses operating along the 64 Main route no longer drop off or pick passengers at these stops:

  • on Eastdale Avenue across from Goodwood Park Crescent and at Secord Avenue. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve these stops.)
  • on Secord Avenue at Barrington Avenue. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve this stop.)
  • on Doncaster Avenue (westbound) at Main Street. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve this stop.)

Northbound buses operating along the 64 Main route no longer drop off or pick passengers at these stops:

  • on Main Street at Doncaster Avenue. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve this stop.)
  • on Lumsden Avenue east of Barrington Avenue. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve this stop.)
  • on Eastdale Avenue across from Goodwood Park Crescent. (Buses operating along route 87 continue to serve this stop.)

The TTC is also increasing and decreasing the frequency of service along the route at different times of the week.
