Yonge / Richmond construction:
TTC detours, October 27 to 31



The City of Toronto is closing the intersection of

  • Yonge Street with Richmond Street from 6 a.m. Thursday until 9 a.m. Monday,

as crews replace the streetcar tracks on Richmond. (The work is part of the ongoing project to upgrade Richmond Streets East and West between Church and York Streets.)

The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the intersection is closed:

  • 97B Yonge; and
  • 320 Yonge overnight.

97B Yonge

After 6 a.m. Thursday, October 27, all day Friday, October 28 and before 9 a.m. Monday, October 31, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Gerrard Streets, then detour:

eastward along Gerrard East;
southward along Church Street; and then
westward along Wellington Street East to Yonge,
resuming their regular route westward along Wellington West.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Yonge Street at Elm Street and Dundas Street West, across from 247 Yonge and Shuter Street and at Queen, Richmond, King and Wellington Streets West.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Church Street at Richmond, Adelaide, King and Wellington Streets East and
  • on Wellington Street East at Yonge Street.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Adelaide Streets, then detour:

eastward along Adelaide East;
northward along Church Street; and then
westward along Gerrard Street East to Yonge,
resuming their regular route northward along Yonge.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Yonge Street at Richmond and Queen Streets East, Shuter Street, Dundas Street East, across from Elm Street and at Gerrard Street East.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Adelaide Street East east of Yonge Street and
  • on Church Street at Lombard Street and Queen Street East.
320 Yonge overnight

From Friday, October 28 until Monday, October 31, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Yonge and Gerrard Streets, then detour:

eastward along Gerrard East;
southward along Church Street; and then
westward along Wellington Street East to Yonge,
resuming their regular route westward along Wellington West.
