eglinton crosstown logo.pngMetrolinx contractors are working to build the future Eglinton - Crosstown light rail transit line.

Ongoing work near the intersection of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West — the site of the future Forest Hill Station — continues to delay buses and all traffic.

Starting Friday, November 4, the TTC is relocating stops for buses along these routes to accommodate the ongoing construction project:

  • 7 Bathurst;
  • 32 Eglinton West;
  • 307 Bathurst overnight; and
  • 332 Eglinton West overnight.

It’s also revising the path for buses along the 33 Forest Hill route, so that buses no longer have to turn right around the work zone the northeast corner of the intersection.

Thursday, November 3 is the last day that southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at the stop on the northwest corner of Bathurst Street and Eglinton Avenue West. Instead, starting Friday, November 4, the buses serve passengers at a new stop on Bathurst, just north of Wembley Road.

Similarly, the TTC is closing the northbound stop on the southeast corner of Eglinton and Bathurst. Instead, starting Friday, November 4, the buses serve passengers at a new stop on Bathurst across from Wembley.

Thursday, November 3 is the last day that eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at the stop on Eglinton Avenue West west of Bathurst Street (just east of Peveril Hill Road North). Instead, starting Friday, November 4, the buses serve passengers at a new stop on Eglinton West east of Bathurst.

Similarly, the TTC is closing the westbound stop on the northeast corner of Eglinton and Dufferin. Starting Wednesday, August 3, the buses serve a new stop on Eglinton West across from Kirknewton Road.

The TTC is revising the path for buses operating along the route so that right-turning buses can avoid the work zone on the northeast corner of Eglinton Avenue West and Bathurst Street.

Southbound buses continue to operate along their regular route.

Starting Friday, November 4, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Eglinton Avenue West and Mayfair Avenue, then detour:

northward along Mayfair; and then
westward along Shallmar Boulevard to Bathurst Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bathurst.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue West at Old Forest Hill Road and at Bathurst Street and
  • on Bathurst Street at Vesta Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at new stops

  • on Eglinton Avenue West at Mayfair Avenue,
  • on Mayfair Avenue across from Shallmar Boulevard and
  • on Shallmar Boulevard at Bathurst Street.

Metrolinx says the TTC is detouring the buses “for 15 months” or until about February 2, 2018.
