You can learn more about key transit projects in your community as Metrolinx hosts a series of public meetings throughout the Greater Toronto area.
You can view presentations and displays, provide feedback and talk to Metrolinx staff.
Topics include:
- reviewing the regional transportation plan — an opportunity to incorporate new projects and insights into the plan, while maintaining momentum on plans underway.
- gaining your feedback to the environmental assessment and transit project assessment processes to build new track and infrastructure to:
- electrify the entire GO rail network;
- expand the Barrie rail corridor; and
- expand the Lakeshore East rail corridor (.pdf) from the Don River to Scarborough.
Metrolinx says the events also include “a review of proposed mitigation strategies”, but does not provide any context for this… presumably, staff will discuss how Metrolinx plans to reduce the impact of construction on nearby communities.
