The TTC is holding its eighth customer town hall this Thursday, November 17 from 7 until 9 p.m.
This year for the first time, the TTC is switching to a virtual format to, it says, “allow more participation and greater opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback to the TTC.”
You can view a webcast of the event with closed-captioning feed or join by teleconference.
Staff kick off the town hall with a progress report of TTC projects and services. Afterwards, you can direct questions and comments to the TTC’s chief executive officer, Andy Byford, and deputy CEO and chief customer officer, Chris Upfold, by webcast, twitter or phone.
You can join the webcast here.
Join the teleconference by calling 416-764-8658.
In 2010, the TTC Customer Service Advisory Panel considered various actions the TTC could take to improve customer service. The panel made 78 recommendations, including holding regular public forums to hear from customers about their TTC experiences.
It hosted its first town hall meeting Thursday, November 24, 2011 in City Hall. The second town hall took place Thursday, March 29, 2012 at York University. The third event took place in the Scarborough Civic Centre, Thursday, June 9, 2012.
The TTC originally scheduled its fourth town hall for Saturday, September 15 in the Assembly Hall in south Etobicoke. It canceled that event following the death of TTC employee Peter Pavlovski while on duty near Yorkdale Station. Instead, it held its fourth town hall in City Hall, Thursday, November 15, 2012.
The fifth and sixth town halls also took place in City Hall Thursday, November 22, 2013 and Thursday, November 20, 2014.
The seventh town hall, also in City Hall, was Thursday, November 12, 2015.
