Toronto Transit Commission meets, November 30

The Toronto Transit Commission meets Wednesday, November 30 at 1 p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

The commission is the TTC’s board of directors. It oversees matters of policy and planning, building, maintaining and operating the TTC system and expanding its services and facilities.

Commissioners include City of Toronto councillors and members of the public.

During the meeting, the commissioners discuss, among other items, staff reports recommending that the commission approve:

  • buying 285 new 12-metre (40-foot), low-floor, clean-diesel city buses from Nova Bus. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf)
  • a property study of the TTC’s Hillcrest Complex at 1138 Bathurst Street. The study may determine whether the TTC could redevelop parts of the site. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))

The commission also considers:
