Fleet Street construction:
TTC detours, December 2

The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Fleet Street, eastbound lanes, between Fort York Boulevard and Bathurst Street

Friday morning and afternoon, as contractors repair the roadway.

The construction affects TTC services along these routes:

  • 145 Downtown / Humber Bay express; and
  • 511 Bathurst.

Note that the map depicts a detour routing for route 511 that is physically impossible to for buses to follow. We’ve used our best guess to describe the detour routing.

511 Bathurst

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, December 2, northbound buses start their trips in Princes’ Gate Loop, as usual, then proceed:

southward along Canada;
eastward along Princes’ Boulevard;
southward along Strachan Avenue;
eastward along Lake Shore Boulevard West; and then
north- and eastward along Fort York Boulevard to Bathurst Street,
resuming their regular route northward along Bathurst.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive at Strachan Avenue and
  • on Fleet Street east of Fort York Boulevard, across from Bastion Street and at Bathurst Street and
  • on Bathurst Street at Fort York Boulevard.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Fort York Boulevard east of Bastion Street and at Bathurst Street.
145 Downtown / Humber Bay express

From 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. Friday, December 2, westbound buses skip their regular stop on Bathurst Street at Fleet Street.
