All Guelph Transit routes

You can ride any Guelph Transit bus for free Friday, December 9 to the Guelph Storm game against the Owen Sound Attack at 7:30 p.m. — if you have a valid ticket to the game. You can ride free of fare to and from the Sleeman Centre Friday evening after 5 p.m. by simply showing the Guelph Transit driver your game ticket.

Christmas in King City

The Township of King is closing:

  • Keele Street between King Road and Elizabeth Grove

Saturday evening to accommodate the King City Business and Community Association’s annual event.

York Region Transit is detouring bus services, while the street is closed.

22 King City

From 3:30 until 9:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, southbound buses operate along their regular route to King Road and Patton Street, then detour:

southward along Patton; and then
eastward along Elizabeth Grove to Keele Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Keele.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on King Road across from Fisher Street and
  • on Keele Street across from Elizabeth Grove.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Keele Street north of Elizabeth Road and at King Road and
  • on King Road at Doctors Lane.

Sunderland


Sunderland Santa Claus Parade

The Township of Brock is closing

  • River Street Sunderland between Cedar and Church Streets

Saturday evening to accommodate the Sunderland Lions Club’s annual event.

GO Transit is detouring buses, while the street is closed.

81A Port Perry / Whitby

From 6 until 8:30 p.m. Saturday, December 10, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Provincial Highways 7 and 12 at River Street, then detour:

southward along Highways 7 and 12 to Albert Street South,
resuming their regular route southward along Highways 7 and 12.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Albert Street South south of Jones Street and at Highways 7 and 12.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Highways 7 and 12 at River Street and Albert Street South.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Albert Street South north of Highways 7 and 12 and at River Street.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Highways 7 and 12 at Concession 6.

Toronto


Toronto events affecting transit are: the Major League Soccer Cup (December 10); and the “Toronto ‘Til I Die” — Toronto FC Pre-Match Street Party (December 10).


Major League Soccer Cup

Toronto FC face the Seattle Sounders in the championship final match at BMO Field in Exhibition Place, starting at 6 p.m. Saturday, December 10.

GO Transit and the TTC are providing extra service before and after the game.

GO is operating extra homebound trains after the match. If the match ends late, it’ll provide extra trains after regular service has ended.

GO will not list these trips in schedules, because the departure times depend on when the match ends and passenger volumes. Check the departure board and listen for announcements.

The TTC is operating extra buses buses or streetcars along the routes from about 5 p.m. until after the match ends.

63 Ossington

The TTC is operating extra buses along the route from about 3 p.m. until after the match ends. From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., it’s detouring the buses during the “Toronto ‘Til I Die” — Toronto FC Pre-Match Street Party”.

The City of Toronto is closing:

  • Liberty Street east of Atlantic Avenue

Saturday afternoon to accommodate the pre-match tailgate party.

The TTC is detouring buses while the street is closed.

63 Ossington

From 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., southbound buses operate along their regular route to Strachan Avenue at Caniff Street, ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Strachan Avenue at East Liberty Street,
  • on East Liberty Street west of Pirandello Street and at Lynn Williams Street and
  • on Liberty Street at Atlantic Avenue.

Northbound buses start their trips on Strachan Avenue at Caniff Street, then proceed:

southward along Strachan; and then
west- and northward along Douro Street to King Street West,
resuming their regular route eastward along King West.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Liberty Street at Atlantic Avenue,
  • on Atlantic Avenue at King Street West and
  • on King Street West across from Sudbury Street.
