"Early homebound" rush-hour service, December 23

This Friday, December 23, many people will likely knock off work early to get a head start on the holidays — or to do last-minute Christmas shopping.

The TTC, GO Transit, MiWay, YRT and other transit agencies are responding by starting afternoon rush-hour service earlier in the day — around noon. GO’s “early homebound” rush-hour service, in turn, requires local transit agencies to revise the schedules of buses that usually meet GO trains to take passengers into residential neighbourhoods.
