Probably fewer people travel by transit late on Christmas Eve than on any other night of the year.
That’s why some local transit agencies — Burlington Transit in the Greater Toronto area and Guelph Transit, Niagara Region Transit, Peterborough Transit and the St. Catharines Transit Commission elsewhere in the Greater Golden Horseshoe — shut down their services completely by 9 p.m. (or earlier) Saturday, December 24.
Burlington Transit
BT ends service by 8 p.m. Christmas Eve, Saturday, December 24 (or operates no service) along these routes: 1 Plains, 2 Brant North, 3 Guelph - Downtown, 6 Headon, 10 New / Maple, 11 Sutton - Alton, 12 Upper Middle, 20A Lakeshore - Burloak, 20B Burloak - Lakeshore, 21 Fairview, 50 Burlington South late-night, 51 Burlington Northeast late-night, 52 Burlington Northwest late-night.
2 Brant North
The last southbound bus leaves Driftwood Drive west of Autumn Hill Crescent at 7:33 p.m. The last northbound bus leaves Burlington GO Station at 7:55 p.m.

50 Burlington South late night

The last Burlington-bound bus leaves Bay Street North south of Vine Street in downtown Hamilton at 7:26 p.m. The last Hamilton-bound bus leaves Burlington GO Station at 7:56 p.m.
11 Sutton - Alton
The last southbound bus leaves Highway 407 / Dundas “Park ‘n’ Ride” carpool lot at 7:25 p.m. The last northbound bus leaves Appleby GO Station at 8 p.m.
12 Upper Middle
The last eastbound bus leaves Burlington GO Station at 7:55 p.m. The last westbound bus leaves Appleby Line south of Dundas Street beside the Cornerstone Centre at 7:22 p.m.
Buses serving all other routes operate with regular Saturday schedules and go out of service earlier in the evening.
