Metrolinx continues to prepare for upcoming construction of the Finch West light rail transit line between Humber College and Finch West subway station in the North York and Etobicoke areas of Toronto.

Enbridge continues relocating gas lines on Finch Avenue West to prepare for the upcoming project. Enbridge must move the natural gas pipelines to a lower site under the roadway, deeper beneath the future track-bed.

Starting “February 2017” (possibly as early as Monday, February 6), crews work

  • in the intersection of Finch Avenue West with Martin Grove Road,

near the site of the future Martin Grove stop.

As the crews trench and install the new gas lines at a lower depth, they will shift the work zone in the intersection. They’ll restrict traffic on the east- and westbound lanes of Finch West independently.

Crews mostly work from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. every day. Occasionally, they may work late nights or early mornings to complete this phase of the project on time.

  • 46 Martin Grove;
  • 191D Highway 27 rocket;
  • 396 Wilson overnight and
  • 336 Finch West overnight.

The TTC may also temporarily relocate bus stops as construction proceeds.

Enbridge continues relocating the gas lines at Martin Grove Road “for approximately one month”, or until about March 5.
