TTC passengers can park at Yorkdale Station again,
starting February 1

Starting tomorrow morning, Wednesday, February 1, TTC passengers will again have access to the parking lot at Yorkdale Station — for the first time since early 2014.

Parking at the new covered, heated, multi-level lot with more than 1,000 spaces costs $7 a day — $2 more than the previous fee of $5. The new lot features a “pay-on-exit system”, so that you can find a parking spot and connect with the TTC’s Line 1 (Yonge - University) subway or TTC and GO Transit buses more quickly after entering. Security staff in nearby Yorkdale shopping centre are monitoring a communication system throughout the well-lit structure for your safety.

The TTC leases the space from Yorkdale. The mall owners asked the TTC to close its lot starting Monday, January 6, 2014. They demolished the former 1,400-space multi-level structure to build new retail space and expand the mall. They originally planned to rebuild, restore and upgrade the parking lot by fall 2015.

Later this year, TTC commuters will also have access to about 2,800 more new spaces at three TTC lots at the future Finch West, Pioneer Village and Highway 407 subway stations and access to a lot at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.
