YRT revises services, February 5



York Region Transit is making minor changes to its services, starting tomorrow, Sunday, February 5.


YRT is revising service along these routes: Viva green; Viva pink; Viva purple; 9 Ninth Line; 12 Pine Valley; 50A Queensway; 202 Unionville GO shuttle.


Specifically, YRT is increasing service along routes; and adjusting the schedule for buses operating along a route.


Increasing service along routes


12 Pine Valley

Starting Monday, February 6, YRT again operates a northbound bus that leaves Aberdeen Avenue west of Ansley Grove Road at 3:05 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. The bus ends its trip in Vaughan Mills Terminal at 3:17 p.m.

The extra trip improves service for passengers traveling from Father Bressani Catholic High School.

YRT previously operated a bus on this extra trip Friday, December 22, 2016.

50A Queensway

Starting Monday, February 13, YRT starts early morning trips on Highway 48 just west of Lakeridge Road.

The buses leave Highway 48 and Lakeridge at 7:15 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, 7:46 a.m. Saturdays and 6:55 a.m. Sundays and holidays. The buses leave Pefferlaw Road south of Pineview Court at their usual times of 7:23 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, 7:51 a.m. Saturdays and 7:03 Sundays and holidays.

202 Unionville GO shuttle

Starting Monday, February 6, YRT operates a bus on a new northbound trip along the route. It leaves Unionville GO Station at 6:32 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. It ends its trip on Rodick Road east of Woodbine Avenue at 7 p.m.

Starting Monday, February 6, YRT buses drop off or pick up passengers at the new Post Road vivastation on Enterprise Boulevard at Post Road.

Buses serve west- and eastbound passengers at curbside stops between the Enterprise and Warden vivastations.

Viva purple

Starting Sunday, February 5, YRT buses drop off or pick up passengers at the new Post Road vivastation on Enterprise Boulevard at Post Road.

Buses serve west- and eastbound passengers at curbside stops between the Enterprise and Warden vivastations.


Adjusting the schedules for buses operating along a route


9 Ninth Line

Starting Monday, February 6, the northbound bus that usually leaves Box Grove Plaza at 7:45 p.m. Mondays to Fridays leaves, instead, five minutes later, at 7:50 p.m. The bus likely ends its trip on Main Street across from Stouffville GO Station five minutes later than usually at 8:16 p.m.
