TTC extending tracks at Kipling Station
to store more trains overnight

The TTC is extending tracks at Kipling Station to store two more trains overnight.

Starting Tuesday, March 7, crews work from 2 until 5 a.m. to install construction hoarding and create a safe work zone. The work zone allows crews to work on the project without affecting regular train operations. Work to install the hoarding continues early each morning until Friday, March 10 and again from early Tuesday, March 14 until Friday, March 17.

Most of the work to expand the train storage area at Kipling Station takes place Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on TTC property. Crews may also work weekends and overnight, but only when absolutely necessary.

The TTC is using a low-noise generator during this work to reduce disturbing nearby residents. It may also use temporary lights to illuminate the work area, if contractors must work overnight. Crews must only park their private vehicles on the construction site.
