Brampton Transit is extending the path of the 52 McMurchy route so that buses serve the “Peel Memorial Hospital” every day, starting Monday, March 6.
It’s also improving service along the 1A Queen, 7A Kennedy and 14 Torbram route that day.
Brampton Transit is revising service along these routes: 1A Queen; 6 James Potter; 7A Kennedy; 12 Grenoble, 14 Torbram; 16 Southgate; 17 Howden; 19 Fernforest; 23 Sandalwood; 24 Van Kirk; 25 Edenbridge; 29 / 29A Williams; 30 Airport Road; 31 McVean; 35 / 35A Clarkway; 52 / 52A McMurchy; 55 Elbern Markell; 501 / 501A Züm Queen; 511 / 511A Züm Steeles.
Specifically, Brampton Transit is: increasing service along routes; decreasing service along a route; increasing the frequency of service along a route; revising the path for buses operating along a route; and adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes.
Increasing service along routes
30 Airport Road
Brampton Transit operates a bus on a single round trip to and from the AMC Distribution Centre Sunday-and-holiday evenings.
Starting Sunday, March 12, the northbound bus that usually leaves Westwood Mall terminal at 10:05 p.m. Sundays and holidays continues north of Mayfield Road, instead of ending its trip on Mayfield east of Airport Road at 10:33 p.m. It ends its trip at the distribution centre at 10:34 p.m.
The southbound bus that usually leaves Mayfield east of Airport at 10:46 a.m. leaves, instead from the AMC Distribution Centre at 10:44 p.m. It arrives on Mayfield east of Airport at the usual time and drops off or picks up passengers at stops along the route at the same time as usually.

7A Kennedy
Brampton Transit is operating buses on new southbound trips along this branch of the route Monday-to-Friday morning rush hours.
Starting Monday, March 6, the buses leave Heart Lake Terminal at 5:38, 5:55 and 6:09 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. They end their trips on Hurontario Street north of Courtneypark Drive East at 6:15, 6:32 and 6:48 a.m.

Starting Monday, March 6, the buses leave Major Sharpe Drive east of Chinguacousy Road at 7:10, 7:25 and 7:46 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. They end their trips on McLaughlin Road North north of Queen Street West at 7:18, 7:34 and 7:54 p.m.

Brampton Transit is increasing the frequency of service along the route Monday-to-Friday midday and afternoon rush hours.

- every 20 minutes, instead of every 30 minutes, from about 9 a.m. until noon; and
- every 9½ minutes, instead of every 10 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

It ends its trip in the Highway 407 / Hurontario “Park and Ride” carpool lot at 9:33 a.m.
The northbound bus that usually leaves the carpool lot at 9:32 a.m. leaves, instead, two minutes later at 9:34 a.m. It serves passengers at stops as much as two minutes later than usually. It ends its trip on James Potter north of Queen West at 9:57 a.m.
The later trips improve service for passengers connecting at Chinguacousy Road and Steeles Avenue West with buses operating along the 51 Hereford route.
