TTC upgrading ventilation at bus-transfer level in Don Mills Station, starting in April

Update — Friday, February 23, 6:22 p.m.: Construction affects York Region Transit buses operating along the Viva green and 24 Woodbine routes, starting Sunday, February 25.

Starting in April, the TTC is working at Don Mills Station to improve the ventilation system throughout the bus-transfer level. The project includes upgrading the fans, duct and sprinkler systems. Crews also improve the lighting.

To safely complete this project while maintaining regular bus service at the station, crews work in several phases. Each phase requires the TTC to temporarily close bus bays and slightly reduce passenger platform space. The TTC will post signs to warn passengers before it closes specific platform areas and reassigns buses to other bus bays.

Crews work only on the bus-transfer level. They’ll use the bus entrance off Don Mills Road to deliver supplies and remove refuse. And, while they’ll mostly work during the daytime, they may have to complete key phases of the project overnight when the station is closed.

Don Mills Station remains fully operational and the TTC will maintain regular service during all phases of the project.

Construction to upgrade the ventilation system in Don Mills Station continues until early 2019.
