Eglinton - Crosstown LRT -- Yonge / Eglinton:
TTC evening and overnight detours, April 4 to 13

Update — Monday, April 10, 5:05 p.m.: The TTC has now expanded the time line for the detours to include April 11, 12 and 13.

eglinton crosstown logo.pngMetrolinx contractors continue building the future Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit line between Mount Dennis and Kennedy.

Last month, the contractors successfully removed “Don”, one of two tunnel-boring machines from an extraction shaft on Eglinton Avenue East at Holly Street — just east of Yonge Street.

This week, starting tonight, they’ll remove “Humber”, the second of the two machines. The crews operate a crane to lift parts of the machine, bit by bit, onto a truck to haul it away to storage.
