HSR detour, May 15



The City of Burlington is closing:

  • Lakeshore Road between the Skyway Water Treatment Plant and North Shore Boulevard East

from 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. today, Monday, May 15, as contractors pave the roadway.

The Hamilton Street Railway is detouring buses operating along this route, while the street is closed:

  • 11 Parkdale.

From 6:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, May 15, Burlington-bound buses operate along their regular route to the Canada Centre for Inland Waters, then proceed:

Northward along Eastport Drive; and then
eastward along North Shore Boulevard East to Maple Avenue / Lakeshore Road,
resuming their regular route eastward along Lakeshore.

Burlington-bound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lakeshore Road beside 944 Lakeshore, across from Omaha Street, beside #1094 Lakeshore, the Halton Region Garage, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Patrol Yard and Joseph Brant Hospital.

Hamilton-bound buses reverse the Burlington-bound detour routing.

Hamilton-bound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Lakeshore Road beside Joseph Brant Hospital, the Ontario Ministry of Transportation Patrol Yard and the Halton Region Garage, across from Beachway Park, at Parkins Lane and across from #938 Lakeshore.
